BodyFriend Massage Chairs: An Honest Dealer Review
This is our assessment of BodyFriend as a dealer that carries the line, not a collection of customer reviews. We do not have published customer ratings for these chairs and we are not going to manufacture them, so what follows is what we have learned from having BodyFriend on our floor in San Jose.
We sell these chairs, which is a conflict of interest and you should read this knowing that. The way we deal with it is to be specific about what the brand does badly as well as what it does well. If a section below reads like an advert, ignore it.

Where it is genuinely strong
Robo-Walking leg mechanism. Each leg moves independently instead of sitting in a fixed footrest. It is the thing people notice first when they step out of a conventional chair, and nothing else on our floor reproduces it.
It looks like furniture. The Italdesign collaboration on the Leonardo DV and the walnut accents on the Falcon SV are not marketing. This is the line people choose when the chair has to share a room they actually use.
The range goes furthest up. Stretch programming on the Pharaoh NEO, PEMF on the Medical Phantom, independent leg drive and 21 safety sensors on the Palace NEO. These are manufacturer features rather than medical claims, and they do not exist on a conventional roller chair.
Where it falls short
No 4D chair in the range. Not one of the eleven is marketed as 4D. If you arrived with 4D on your list, BodyFriend is not answering that question and we would rather say so than talk around it.
Track length is not published. We cannot give you a figure because the manufacturer does not publish one. If neck-to-glutes reach is your deciding factor, that is a real gap.
Warranty terms are the weakest documented. This is the honest sore point. We do not have published BodyFriend warranty terms in the detail we have for other brands, and we have asked. Until we do, treat coverage as a question to ask us directly rather than something we can quote.
Who it suits
Someone whose stiffness sits in the hips and legs, or whose chair has to look right in a living room.
